The Geminids are one of the most dependable meteor showers of the year. Rather than staring through a telescope all night, part of this session is about learning how to watch the whole sky—where the radiant is, why the meteors appear to fan outward from Gemini, and how the stream intersects Earth’s orbit.

Between meteor activity we’ll use telescopes on the winter sky, especially Orion, the Pleiades, bright stars, and other strong seasonal targets.
